It noted that remittances in 2025 were equivalent to 1.6% of GDP, a level similar to the previous year.
"In quarterly terms, remittances sent by Peruvian workers abroad totaled US$1.428 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, an increase of US$150 million compared with the same period in 2024," the BCR indicated.
The issuing entity said the United States remains the main source of these remittances.
Remittances from abroad have grown steadily since 2020, when they stood at US$2.020 billion, meaning that this foreign currency inflow has more than doubled over the past five years.
