Perupetro signed concession contracts for hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation of Z-51 and Z-52 blocks in Peru, bringing the number of contracts currently in force to 89 as a result of the efforts undertaken to boost the potential of Peru in the past years.
The contracts were signed by Perupetro President Daniel Saba and Savia Peru CEO Bum Suk Poo.
On June 11th, Peru’s Energy and Mines Ministry approved and authorized Perupetro to sign the concession contracts for hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation of Z-51 and Z-52 blocks, both located in Lima.
Investment in the exploratory phase is expected to total $120 million and will be made through SAVIA Peru, firm owned by Ecopetrol and Knoc.
