The Peruvian Embassy in Tel Aviv —supported by the Association of Friends of Peru in Israel— hosted a virtual ceremony to commemorate the Peru-Israel Friendship Day, the South American country's Foreign Affairs Ministry has reported.

During the event, historical aspects of the bilateral relationship were highlighted, particularly the creation of the State of Israel, as well as the friendship and cooperation ties uniting both nations.

Within this framework, Peruvian Ambassador to Israel Carlos Daniel Chavez-Tafur announced the recent creation of the Consular Office of Peru in Ramla —with jurisdiction in the central and southern districts of Israel. These areas host a high number of Peruvian nationals.

Held on November 29, the meeting came to an end with a virtual toast featuring the flagship drink Pisco Sour.
