The National Council for Science, Technology, and Technological Innovation (CONCYTEC) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) signed a two-year partnership framework agreement to promote scientific advice and spread of science.

Moreover, both institutions pledged to promote spaces for collaboration, orientation, and for sharing good practices of instruments and policies on science, technology and innovation; technological transfer; and actions to support research, technological development, innovation, and entrepreneurship projects.

Moreover, they will work, in a coordinated manner, on the promotion of internships, stays, or exchange of experts and directors working at both institutions with the aim of specializing and finding more opportunities for collaboration.

As part of this agreement, important events will be held, such as the Ibero-American Contest of Scientific Monologues "Solo de Ciencia" (Science only), organized by FECYT and whose final will take place this year in Peru.

The deal also seeks to promote collaboration in other activities related to scientific advice, scientific journalism, innovation culture, citizen science, and the promotion of women in science, as well as actions for the development of policies relating to Open Science and the organization of trainings within the framework of the Horizon Europe program.

The document was signed by FECYT Director General Imma Aguilar and Peruvian Ambassador to Spain Walter Gutierrez.
