The Army Weapons and Ammunition Factory (FAME) presented its modern approach, as well the opportunities it presents for investment and technological collaboration in the development and production of weapon systems for the Armed Forces and National Police of Peru.

FAME General Manager, Army Colonel Jorge Zapata, spoke at this important meeting about the role, legal framework, and production lines of the Army Weapons and Ammunition Factory.

In his speech, Zapata highlighted the modernization of this strategic company and its vision for the future as an industry that contributes to citizen security, national defense, and the country's development.

In this regard, he presented to the audience the FAME service portfolio, as well as investment and development opportunities, in which it seeks to establish strategic alliances with leaders of the military industry around the world.

For their part, representatives of the Spanish defense industry and sector expressed their interest in establishing contact with companies in the Peruvian defense industry in search of opportunities for mutual collaboration.

As reported by the Spanish Ministry of Defense, the purpose of these conferences is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience on the operation of institutional mechanisms related to the defense industry, as well as the generation of spaces for cooperation both among defense companies and between the governments of both countries.

As is known, Peru and Spain have deepened their cooperation in this area through a joint declaration from the Ministries of Defense of both countries since 2013.

The Defense Industry Day meetings between the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Peru will take place at the facilities of the Naval Tactical Training Center (Centac) at the Callao Naval Base on March 20 and 21.
