The blockade of roads caused by social protests continues to decrease and 31 areas on nine roads across 4 regions remain interrupted until today, February 12, according to the latest report released by the
Superintendence of Ground Transportation of People, Cargo, and Goods (Sutran).

Puno continues to be the region with the largest number of roads with traffic flow interrupted by blockades and demonstrations demanding new presidential elections and the dissolution of Congress.
Meanwhile, in Madre de Dios, the only affected area is located at km 352 of the Urcos-Mazuco-Iñapari road.
As is known, the work carried out by the National Police and the members of the Sixth Brigade of the Army Special Forces has cleared the areas blocked by social protests on the Interoceanic Highway, in the Laberinto district of Tambopata province (Madre de Dios region).

On the other hand, the concessionary company IIRSA Sur reported that sections 2 and 3 of the South Interoceanic Highway have been unblocked.
In a tweet, it stated that section 2 is located between Urcos and Inambari in Cusco region, while section 3 is situated between Inambari and Puerto Maldonado in the region of Madre de Dios.
