Peru: Prime Minister meets with Attorney General to strengthen fight against crime

He also held talks with the Mayor of Lima.

Prime Minister Luis Galarreta met with Attorney General Tomás Gálvez to strengthen coordination between the Executive Branch and the Public Ministry in combating criminal organizations.

The meeting was held as part of a new session of the High-Level Multisectoral Commission for the Restoration of Security and Public Order, it was reported.

The session was also attended by Ministers César Astudillo (Interior), Ernesto Álvarez (Justice and Human Rights), and Technical Secretary Juan Villarán.

Earlier, Galarreta met with Lima Mayor Renzo Reggiardo to coordinate efforts on public safety and strengthen cooperation with law enforcement agencies through the Unified Command.
