The progress made and studies conducted on prevention issues in the face of El Niño phenomenon were addressed at a meeting held at the
National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) and led by
Peruvian Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen.
Together with other members of the working group "COEN Ministerial Force," the Cabinet chief received the report of various scientific institutions.
Said bodies presented their progress and findings regarding the issues linked to EL Niño phenomenon.
Those issues included water deficit, heavy seasonal rains, and the return of the flow of water into ravines.
Moreover, aspects referring to projects and activities run by the National Infrastructure Authority were also discussed at the meeting.
