Peru: Presidential candidate Marisol Perez Tello casts vote

Presidential candidate Marisol Perez Tello, representing Primero La Gente (People First), cast her vote in Lima's Santiago de Surco district as part of the 2026 General Elections.

The presidential hopeful went to the polling station at Tecnico FAP Manuel Polo Jimenez School, located in Lima's Santiago de Surco.

The candidate was accompanied by supporters who gathered at the polling place to take part in the electoral day.

Running alongside Perez Tello on the presidential ticket are Raul Alberto Molina Martinez, first vice-presidential candidate, and Manuel Ato del Avellanal Carrera, second vice-presidential candidate.

The 2026 General Elections began at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, with more than 27 million Peruvians expected to head to the polls until 6:00 p.m. to elect the country's new national authorities.

The process includes the installation of 92,766 polling tables nationwide.

In Lima Metropolitan Area and Callao, 2,260 polling places were set up, mainly in educational institutions and universities.

During election day, citizens will choose the President of the Republic, vice presidents, as well as representatives to the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies, and the Andean Parliament.
