Presidential candidate Fiorella Molinelli, representing Fuerza y Libertad (Strength and Liberty Party), cast her vote at the 1140 Aurelio Miro Quesada Sosa school in Lima's La Molina district on Sunday.

Molinelli Aristondo is one of 35 contenders running for the Presidency of the Republic.

She is accompanied on her presidential ticket by Gilbert Felix Violeta Lopez and Maria Luz Pariona Ore, candidates for first and second vice president, respectively.

According to the electoral roll of the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec), more than 27 million Peruvians were eligible to vote at 92,766 polling tables nationwide, in an election that marks the return to a bicameral Congress.

In this electoral process, voters must elect the President, vice presidents, members of the bicameral Congress (Senate and Chamber of Deputies), as well as representatives to the Andean Parliament.

The 2026 election day began this Sunday at 7:00 a.m. across the country and ran until 6:00 p.m.

The voting period was extended by one hour following problems reported in the distribution of electoral materials in several districts of the capital.
