The event took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Lima, as part of the arrival of international delegations that will attend the presidential inauguration ceremony to be held in Peru this Tuesday.
"President-elect Keiko Fujimori met with Organization of American States (OAS) Secretary General Albert R. Ramdin to talk about strengthening regional cooperation, democratic institutional framework, and the region's shared challenges," the Office of the President-elect reported on X.
Joint work
Following the announcement of the meeting, the OAS Secretary General said he expects to work closely with Peru's incoming Government to promote democracy, security, development, and human rights.
The Spanish monarch and the international delegations are among the representatives from countries across the region and the world who will attend President-elect Keiko Fujimori's swearing-in ceremony.
U.S. delegation
As part of her activities, the President-elect also received U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and U.S. Ambassador to Peru Bernie Navarro at the Ministry headquarters.
