Peruvian President Ollanta Humala visited on Monday Cuna Mas “Pachacutec C3” and “Pachacutec E5” facilities in Lima's peripheral Ventanilla district, where he inspected care and food services provided to local children.

Mr. Humala toured around the Comprehensive Assistance Child Center (CIAI) named "Pachacutec C3." The construction of the 960 square-meter area entailed an investment worth S/1.051 million (about US$300,280).

Likewise, the top official unveiled a plaque marking the inauguration of "Pachacutec E5" CIAI. The 645 square-meter building amounted to S/977,029 (about US$279,151). Currently 8 caregivers assist 44 children.

Mr. Humala talked to mothers working at the centers. At the same time, he verified that minors receive safe and high-quality services.

Developed by the Social Development and Inclusion Ministry, Cuna Mas aims at improving the development of children in areas of poverty and extreme poverty, to overcome the gaps in their cognitive, social, physical and emotional development.
