The

"We left for the United States to bring positive news in favor of Peru and the integration of the peoples at the
Summit of the Americas," Mr. Castillo expressed via his official Twitter account.
The Head of State —who is joined by First Lady Lilia Paredes— affirmed that the event will allow the Government to strengthen multilateral solutions against the food crisis, poverty, insecurity, and inequalities.
"We are at a crucial moment for the world due to post-pandemic events and the war between Russia and Ukraine," he added.
In addition, he will participate in a meeting with the youth of the hemisphere, among other activities.
These include bilateral meetings with counterparts from the region. Meetings with U.S. businesspeople are also expected.
Said events seek to strengthen the international projection of Peru's foreign policy and boost the country's economic reactivation, promoting exports and investments.
