The
on Wednesday reaffirmed her commitment to working to improve educational infrastructure, which is her commitment to education in our country.
"We continue working, President of Tinkuy, to improve educational infrastructure. That is our commitment to Peruvian education," she stated.
The top official recalled that when the analysis to remedy educational infrastructure was conducted, it was found that overcoming this gap would take between 14 and 20 years, reflecting the true situation of this sector.
"That is why, in my government, we want to change that dimension over time. We signed a government-to-government agreement and are building schools as quickly as possible. We are delivering Bicentennial Schools. That is the path we must continue to follow," she added.
In this regard, Mrs. Boluarte announced that the construction of schools will continue nationwide next year, as "it is not fair that our children and adolescents are studying in poor infrastructure, which does not motivate them to continue learning."
Regarding the agreements made at Tinkuy, the Head of State mentioned it was found that education in native languages is declining.
Thus, the President said that educators who speak these languages will be sought by the Ministries of Education and Culture to continue teaching.
Mrs. Boluarte also mentioned that another problem is that students with disabilities are not being properly supported, and third challenge is the weak educational infrastructure.
