The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte and Development-Social Inclusion Minister Julio Demartini held a working meeting with grassroots leaders of soup kitchens and Congresswoman Martha Moyano.

At the gathering, they discussed the actions being taken by the Government to enhance the work carried out by these social organizations, including increasing their budget.

In her Address to the Nation on Independence Anniversary, the Head of State announced that the budget for the Food Supplementation Program will be increased by S/180 million (about US$48.27 million) in 2025 to improve the food ration and include new products in the family basket.

Mrs. Boluarte added that this supports 19,000 social organizations, including soup kitchens and communal pots, which will continue to contribute to feeding more than one million users in poverty and vulnerability in Peru.
