Peru: President Jeri receives honors from Armed Forces institutions and Joint Command

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, received various decorations from the Armed Forces and the Joint Command in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief.

The honors bestowed included the FAP decoration "Order of Captain Quiñones" and the Peruvian Cross of Aeronautical Merit, the "Order of Grand Admiral Grau" and the Peruvian Naval Merit Cross, as well as the "Military Order of Francisco Bolognesi" and the Marshal Eloy Ureta Montehermoso Medal.

These decorations are awarded primarily for exceptional and meritorious service for the benefit of the Armed Forces, as well as to recognize outstanding actions or institutional representation in service of the homeland.

The ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Cesar Diaz, Joint Command of the Armed Forces Chief David Ojeda, Army General Commander Cesar Briceño, Navy General Commander Javier Bravo de Rueda, Air Force General Commander Raul Contreras, among other military authorities.
