led the national flag-raising ceremony at the Juana Alarco de Dammert educational institution in Lima's Miraflores district on Monday.
Alongside the students, school authorities, and Miraflores Mayor Carlos Canales, the President sang the national anthem as part of the actions undertaken by the government to strengthen national identity.
The school's principal, Esperanza Diaz, welcomed the top official during the ceremony.
Likewise, she noted that his presence reaffirms the value of public education, a space where citizenry is built and values are instilled.
Meanwhile, the Head of State reaffirmed his government's commitment to the present and future of schoolchildren.
"The presence of the government and of the President precisely responds to that goal: building citizenry, which is the most important task we must carry out as students in the formation process," he stated.
