received a delegation from the National Agreement Forum at the Government Palace in Lima on Thursday morning.
The Head of State addressed with National Agreement Forum members the upcoming convening of this dialogue forum and the need to promote consensus for the benefit of the country.
The meeting took place as part of a visit made by the principal representatives of civil society organizations and the National Agreement Executive Secretariat to the top official at the beginning of her presidential term.
During the meeting, participants addressed the upcoming convening of the 136th session, which would be the first to be chaired by the President and would include the incorporation of new representatives from political parties represented at the Congress of the Republic.
Likewise, participants discussed the possibility of reaching a consensus on a minimum agenda for the current five-year term, based on the common proposals contained in the government plans of different political groups.
The National Agreement delegation included representatives from the National Evangelical Council of Peru (Conep), the National Confederation of Private Business Institutions (Confiep), the National Council of Deans of Professional Associations of Peru, and the National Coordination of Regional Fronts.
It included representatives from the Roundtable for the Fight Against Poverty, the National Convention of Peruvian Agro (Conveagro), and the National Society of Industries, among other organizations.
Also participating were National Agreement Executive Secretary Max Hernandez Camarero, as well as representatives of the Advisory Committee and the Executive Secretariat of this dialogue forum.
