Peru: President expresses solidarity with Haiti following 7.2M earthquake

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Saturday expressed his solidarity with Haiti over the 7.2-magnitude earthquake which hit the Caribbean country.

"I express my total solidarity with the brother nation of Haiti over the devastating earthquake that occurred today," the top official said on social media.

Likewise, the Head of State indicated that the Peruvian Government will be on alert in order to provide the necessary aid to Haiti with the aim of advancing in unity and fraternal integration.

Furthermore, the Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed the Inca nation's solidarity with the families affected by this unfortunate event and wished for the speedy recovery of the damaged communities.
