The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte met with Lambayeque Region Governor Jorge Perez to coordinate the unblocking of various projects.

At this meeting, the participants addressed public works that need to continue developing, such as the Northern IIRSA Highway on the Olmos-Eten Stretch, and reconstruction projects following the rainfall registered in previous years, among other works.

"During this Government, 79 educational centers have so far been delivered and 50 hospitals have been unblocked to continue serving more Peruvians," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.

The top official said investment projects that have a notable social impact will continue being fostered through the State-run National Infrastructure Authority.

"We are going to continue boosting the projects that are required, but we will do so from that frontal fight against corruption that we hoist. We are going to complete (our term in office) with clean hands in July 2026," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.

"I am pleased to see governors and mayors wanting to move projects in their respective jurisdictions forward. I tell them that they have my full support to boost the (public) works demanded by the people," she added.

The Head of State pointed out that since the first day of her administration in office, support for subnational governments has been constant, even more so for regions hit by climatic factors.

"When we visited the northern part of the country after Cyclone Yaku, we saw that they did not rely on the logistics (required) to take care of the affected areas," Mrs. Boluarte indicated.

"We have reversed the situation; regional governments currently rely on the necessary machinery, and other equipment, to intervene whenever necessary," she added.

On this occasion, the President was accompanied by Economy-Finance Minister Jose Arista and Private Investment Promotion Agency (Proinversion) Chief Jose Salardi. Also present at the event were Jose Leonardo Ortiz District Mayor Elber Requejo and Congress members representing Lambayeque region.

These authorities pledged to continue working together to ensure the progress of public works.

This event took place at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima, on Friday.
