The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday called on State Powers and institutions to work together beyond political differences with the aim of shaping a different and united Peru.

Mr. Castillo visited the Hipolito Unanue Special Basic Education Center (CEBE) in Lima's El Agustino district.

Within this framework, the Head of State summoned authorities and businesspeople to meet the country's needs.

"From here, I call on all Peruvians, the Powers of the State and institutions to work jointly, beyond political differences, to shape a different country, a united and prosperous country that always moves forward thinking and acting for the sake of boys and girls," Mr. Castillo expressed.

In this sense, the top official indicated that, within the urgencies that exist in Peru, an assessment should be given from the education sector —especially for children with special needs who are the most vulnerable population.

"The children with special needs require a greater effort from all of us; therefore, I call on the authorities of three levels of government to launch a just cause together," he said.

Mr. Castillo explained that since specialized care is needed, the participation of the Ministries of Development-Social Inclusion, Justice-Human Rights, and Environment is necessary. He also asked for support from private companies.

In addition, the President called on Congress of the Republic so that there can be an approach and its members attend the Government Palace, as well as the Education Ministry, to design an agenda for the education of boys and girls nationwide.

Later, in remarks to the press, he welcomed the statements by the Catholic Church and invited Cardinal Pedro Barreto to meet with him at the Government Palace.
