President Dina Boluarte on Monday reiterated that her Government "always calls for national dialogue" to solve the problems facing Peru.

"Let's talk if we haven't yet solved the problems of some sectors," Mrs. Boluarte said during the ceremony marking the delivery of equipment modules for soup kitchens and community kitchens in Lima's San Martin de Porres district.

Similarly, the Head of State mentioned that in Peru "we may have some differences of understanding, but through dialogue we can make these differences lessen and embrace one another wholeheartedly to move forward by solving these problems."

The top official indicated that the problems facing the country "date back years" and were not solved by previous governments.

She reiterated that these issues have been the focus of attention during her administration and that, in this direction, "we will continue to advance and improve."

Referring to the criticism against her, Mrs. Boluarte said that "nothing will stop us."

"We are not going to listen; to foolish words, we turn a deaf ear, and we put even more effort into solving the problems," she indicated.

The president asserted that in her administration "we will continue to move forward" to enhance sectors such as health, education, and nutrition.

"We will continue to follow this approach until July 28, 2026," she said.

Support for MSEs

During her speech, Mrs. Boluarte highlighted the support that her Government offers to micro and small enterprises (MSEs). Similarly, she pointed out that the activity of more than 2,000 of them in various sectors is being fostered.

"MSEs play an essential role in the country's economy because they account for 99% of the business network," Mrs. Boluarte noted.

In this context, the president highlighted that seven special processes have already been carried out to acquire items worth up to S/318 million (US$85 million) from 2,700 micro and small enterprises. These are related to the textile, clothing, metalworking, leather, and footwear sectors, she indicated.

Regarding the delivery of kits for soup kitchens and community kitchens, she said that this initiative will benefit more than 300 MSEs.

In her speech, the Head of State also pointed out that the delivery of these instruments is the outcome of coordinated work.

"That is the way we are working in our Government: by coordinating forces and synergies," she concluded.
