The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte participated in the ceremony marking the presentation of credential letters by the resident Ambassadors of Argentina and Spain to Peru.

The ceremony began with the presentation of credentials by the envoy of the Argentine Republic, Samuel Ortiz Basualdo —a country with which Peru has maintained diplomatic relations since 1822.

Ortiz Basualdo is a lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. Similarly, he graduated from the Institute of Foreign Service of the Nation of the Argentinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, and Worship in 1990.

Afterwards, Alejandro Abellan Garcia de Diego, resident Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Peru, presented his credentials. Both countries have maintained diplomatic relations since 1879.

Abellan Garcia de Diego joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation of Spain in 1991. He holds the category of Plenipotentiary Minister, Second Class.

This event also saw the participation of Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea.

It was held at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima, on Wednesday afternoon.
