The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday underscored the work carried out by the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) in the fight against internal and external threats facing the country, as well as its logistical work during the occurrence of natural disasters.

"Our Peruvian Air Force is permanently at the forefront of the fight against internal and external threats that attack the interests of our homeland. Similarly, our officers are in constant training at various academies not only in Peru, but also abroad," she indicated.

The top official specified that the FAP constantly renews its equipment, highlighting the completion of the acquisition processes of two transport aircraft and two others, which "will contribute to disaster risk management."

"We will have these aircraft in the next three months," she announced.

Furthermore, the Head of State indicated that four training aircraft were acquired, plus another group was repaired and upgraded, "all of this as part of the institution's upgrading process."

The president highlighted the graduation of 86 new officers, of whom 76 are men and 9 women, who managed to successfully complete their studies.

"Not only is their graduation celebrated, but their vocation for service that led them to become officers, brave officers who are followers of (Peruvian hero) Jose Abelardo Quiñones, overcame challenges that forged their character to lead their service to the homeland. Their oath is a fundamental part of their responsibility as FAP officers," she expressed.

Moreover, Mrs. Boluarte explained that these new officers will play an essential role in defending sovereignty and fostering the development of our society.

"You fulfill notable duties that prove your constant commitment to our country's safety and well-being, safeguard the Peruvian skies, preserve domestic order, and respond to natural disasters, providing logistical and medical support to the communities that need it most," she added.
