The
President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, met with Calca Mayor Edward Dueñas, the head of the Amazonian Commonwealth of La Convencion, and Congressman Luis Aragon to prioritize citizen security, roads, and bridge projects.
The Presidential Office said on X that the session reflected the government's "firm commitment to development."
"During the meeting, the President reaffirmed the government’s political will to secure the necessary resources for the execution of new works and to ensure the continuity of strategic projects currently stalled nationwide," it stated.
This session was part of the ongoing dialogue that the Head of State maintains with local and regional authorities, as well as lawmakers from congressional groups.
This event was held at the Government Palace in Lima on Wednesday.
