Peru: President attends ceremony for incorporation of PIAS Rio Ucayali I and II into Navy

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte participated in Iquitos on Friday in the ceremony marking the incorporation of the Itinerant Social Action Platforms (PIAS) Rio Ucayali I (Ucayali River) I and Rio Ucayali II into the Peruvian Navy.

PIAS are specially equipped vessels operated on an itinerant basis by the Navy to bring Peruvian State services and programs, in a modular manner, to the rural Amazonian population, where the local or fixed platform has no coverage or only partially.
