The Presidency of the Republic of Peru on Wednesday thanked the Government of the Republic of Paraguay for the best wishes expressed to
"We express our firm commitment to working together in order to strengthen the ties that unite us, for the benefit of all our citizens," it wrote on social media.
The Government of Paraguay —through the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs— wished success to the new Head of State for the completion of the 2016-2021 presidential term.
"As a brother country of Peru, with which it maintains a close bilateral and regional relationship, Paraguay encourages the Peruvian nation to continue on the path of respect for democracy and the rule of law," a press release indicated.
It also expressed its good wishes for the electoral process and the presidential elections scheduled for April 11, 2021.
