Prime Minister Anibal Torres held a meeting with National Agreement Executive-Secretary Max Hernandez and representatives of various member sectors on Tuesday to make arrangements for the session recently convened by President Pedro Castillo.

"Today, we are here because of the democratic cry from authorities nationwide; I announce from this space that on Saturday, March 26, we will hold the National Agreement (session), the National Agreement Assembly, to which you are invited in a disciplined, orderly, and organic manner to participate," Mr. Castillo expressed on the occasion.

The top official indicated that this meeting will enable the Government to assess the country's needs, as it is important to put Peru first.

"We accept this democratic cry; during my speech before Congress we have said that we are turning the page on confrontation, on useless bickering, because we can't inherit any more issues which harm the country," he stated.

As is known, the National Agreement Forum is the tripartite space for dialogue and consensus building, made up of the Government at its three levels (national, regional, and local); political parties with representation at Congress of the Republic; and civil society organizations.
