Peru participates at UN Climate Change Conference in Germany

Peru has begun its participation at the United Nations Climate Change Conference taking place in Bonn, Germany.

The Peruvian delegation is headed by the Ministry of Environment (Minam). Its participation is aimed at strengthening ties with countries that are strategic partners in environmental issues.

This event also seeks to create funding opportunities related to climate issues.

The Bonn meeting is a preliminary step for the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

The topics to be discussed in Bonn include mitigation and adaptation to climate change impacts, financial support for developing countries, as well as loss and damage caused by climate change.
