The third non-stop 36-hour COVID-19 vaccination drive —for children and adults— will be held on April 9-10 in Lima and Callao,
Minsa Immunizations Director Maria Elena Martinez has announced.
On the other hand, a 12-hour immunization drive will be conducted in 12 regions across the country.
According to Martinez, the aim is to continue pushing to close the vaccination gaps, above all in children who need two doses in order to be protected.
People who have not received a first dose or those who still need a second, third, or fourth dose, aged over 70 years, can get it during this vaccination drive that started today, April 9, at 7 a.m. and will run until Sunday, April 10, at 7 p.m.
During the launch on Friday, the official noted that vaccination sites remain available for all family members to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series thanks to the strategy "I get vaccinated - get the dose you need."
"The vaccines are safe and effective; that is why the vaccination is available to all family members. Grandparents can get the fourth dose, parents can receive the third shot, and children can take the second jab. We look forward to seeing everyone, entertaining and fun shows will be taking place," the head of the Immunizations Department said.
