Peru: Mutual fund-managed assets reach record US$13.2 billion

The assets managed by mutual investment funds in securities reached US$13.219 billion as of January 31, 2025, marking a historic record and exceeding the January 2024 closing amount by 47%, the Superintendence of Securities Market (SMV) reported.

Similarly, the SMV highlighted that this increase in funds "reflects investors' confidence in this investment modality."

This information is included in the latest monthly Spanish-language bulletin made available by the SMV.

The report also indicated that the figure for mutual fund participants reached 424,091, a 21% increase compared to January 2024, while the number of active mutual funds rose to 226, seven more than the previous year.

Regarding financing through the issuance of debt instruments in the securities market, the study proved that issuances in January 2025 totaled US$93.7 million, doubling the amount recorded in the same period last year.

In parallel, three Primary Public Offering (PPO) placements were carried out, amounting to US$56.2 million in total, with demand reaching 1.6 times the supply.
