Keiko Fujimori, the virtual winner of Peru's presidential election, spoke with the Presidents of Paraguay, Santiago Peña; Costa Rica, Laura Fernandez; and Honduras, Nasry Asfura, following her victory in the runoff election, after the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) completed the vote count in Peru.

Via videoconference, the Paraguayan Head of State congratulated Fujimori and expressed his desire to work together for a more prosperous region.

"Yesterday, we were at a Mercosur summit with Chilean President Jose Antonio Kast, Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, as well as the presidents of Brazil, Uruguay, and Bolivia, all of them eager for you to join this great integration project," Peña stated.

In this regard, Fujimori expressed her commitment to working from day one to improve all Peruvians’ quality of life.

Likewise, Costa Rican President Laura Fernandez said her country wishes Fujimori every success in her upcoming administration in Peru.

"I wish you all the best. I am calling you on behalf of the people of Costa Rica, and we wish you every success. Along this path, I am glad there will be another woman president on the continent," Fernandez expressed.

In turn, the Popular Force Party candidate emphasized that women on the continent face many challenges. She added that, through their presence and leadership, they "will inspire other women to move forward."

For his part, Honduran President Nasry Asfura also expressed his congratulations and best wishes as she prepares to take on the challenge of leading Peru's future.

Fujimori thanked them for their greetings and congratulations.

She emphasized that, at this moment, "Peru has decided for the first time to elect a female president, which is an enormous responsibility."

Lastly, the virtual president received a video call from Union of Latin American Parties (UPLA) board members, who expressed their best wishes for this new stage.

"I am very happy, and we will make decisions from the very first day of government. I am very hopeful, and I know that the responsibility being entrusted to me is enormous," Fujimori underscored.
