Peru's Justice and Human Rights Minister Fernando Castañeda
has delivered 7 tons of medicines and personal protective equipment to strengthen containment measures as part of the emergency response to covid-19.
The minister met with the Covid-19 Multisectoral Platform, comprising the regional governor and principal authorities, with whom he coordinated actions and reaffirmed his commitment to continue working together in order to tackle the disease.
Regarding the provision of materials, the Cabinet member announced plans to deliver additional supplies.
In this sense, he acknowledged that both the Central and regional governments have made efforts to tackle and reduce the impact of the disease on the population.
"We operate as a team here. We all have to make our contribution from our area of expertise," the government official emphasized.
