Peru participated in the
held in Katowice on December 2-14.
The Peruvian delegation was led by Environment Minister Fabiola Muñoz, who was joined by representatives from the Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Irrigation, Energy and Mines Ministries, as well as the Inca nation's Embassy in the European country.
Likewise, numerous delegates from the private sector and non-governmental organizations attended the
COP24.
The Peruvian mission carried out diverse activities within the framework of a broad agenda such as: technical symposiums; bilateral and multilateral meetings; forums; audiences with politicians, businesspeople, scientists, and environmental specialists, as well as local and international press.
It should be noted COP24 began with the Leaders' Summit. On the occasion, Peruvian Ambassador to Poland Alberto Salas led the delegation on behalf of President Martin Vizcarra.
