Peru: Head of State congratulates Panana's Mulino on presidential election victory

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte congratulated Panama's President-elect Jose Raul Mulino, who will be sworn-in to office on July 1.

Within this framework, Peru's top official expressed her wish to continue the "twinned work by both countries."

"We congratulate that the elections in your country have been conducted democratically, as they should be," Mrs. Boluarte said during the phone conversation.

In turn, Mulino stated that, for him, "Peru is something very beautiful, very close."

Similarly, he highlighted the good relations that exist between both nations.

On this occasion, the Peruvian Head of State was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea.

The phone call was made from the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

As is known, 64-year-old Jose Raul Mulino became the winner of Panama's presidential elections last Sunday, according to official results.
