Within this framework, the high-ranking official said that the issuance of regulations, which allow the Peruvian State to intervene, is not enough, adding it is essential that this be do well.
"Administrative simplification means avoiding complex regulations and procedures," she emphasized after mentioning that this simplification responds to a fair and efficient action of the State for the benefit of all citizens.
Likewise, the Cabinet chief recalled that Peru approved the Law of Administrative Simplification and its regulations in 1989, which defines said term as the principle that obliges the State to remove the unnecessary obstacles and costs for society.
Similarly, she affirmed that the regulatory reform in Peru was boosted thanks to the review of the Executive Branch's administrative procedures.
The results of this task show the removal of 30% of paperwork, as well as more than 1,300 requirements.
Bermudez also said that —in the two and a half months left in office— the Executive Branch will prepare the transition so that the new administration —which will take office on July 28, 2021— continues to lead and strengthen the State's modernization and administrative simplification policy in the country.
Remarks were made during her virtual participation in the seminar "30 years of administrative simplification in Peru: achievements, challenges, and the future agenda."
