Ministers Betssy Chavez (Labor-Employment Promotion) and Anahi Durand (Women-Vulnerable Populations) on Thursday affirmed that the Government is respectful of the country's institutional framework.

Remarks were made while commenting on the decision of the Attorney General to suspend the investigation against the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo until he completes his mandate.

"The President of the Republic has indicated so, and we have said that repeatedly: we are respectful of the investigation that the Public Ministry is conducting," Chavez said during a press conference.

The Labor minister pointed out that the Executive Branch makes efforts to prioritize governability, as well as to respect and strengthen institutions.

"We have said so in the campaign, in the post campaign, in situations like the one we currently go through, where we continue facing a critical environment, where we make all our efforts so that governability prevails (…)," she said.

The high-ranking official indicated that Executive Branch members are willing to collaborate with investigations and make the system transparent.

She also noted that all State officials must have the same attitude.

In turn, Minister Durand reiterated her trust in President Pedro Castillo.

"At the Cabinet, we fully trust the honesty of the President (Castillo) and, as Minister Betssy (Chavez) said, the need for everyone to respect the frameworks of the current institutionality," Durand indicated.

"A framework of respect for the institutionality of all State powers is appropriate, as is the clarification deemed as necessary. From the Cabinet we work on the goals that we have set for ourselves," she added.
