Peru: FA Min Schialer reiterates President's support for Edmundo Gonzalez

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer reiterated to Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia the firm support of the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte.

The diplomat participated in the "Act of Democratic Vindication in Venezuela and the Americas," held on Wednesday in Panama, where Edmundo Gonzalez expressed that the representatives from elected governments in the Americas are the most important support during these critical weeks.

The original records of the elections held on July 28, 2024, were presented to former presidents and foreign ministers of the region on this occasion.

"The true tricolor presidential sash are these records, which reflect the will of the Venezuelan people," Gonzalez indicated.

At Palacio de las Garzas in Panama City, Minister Schialer, along with peers and high-ranking officials from the region, participated in the greeting ceremony for Panamanian President, Jose Raul Mulino, and the Venezuelan President-elect.

Last Monday, Peruvian President Dina Boluarte held a fruitful videoconference with Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, whom she recognized for his leadership, courage, and bravery in all his international actions in favor of democracy in Venezuela.

He also reiterated that the invitation extended earlier to visit Peru remains in place and that a mutually convenient date will be arranged.
