Within this framework, the Peruvian Foreign Affairs minister spoke with her
Paraguayan counterpart, Julio Arriola, about the political and social situation in Peru, as well as other main issues on the bilateral agenda.
During her speech, Gervasi reminded attendees about Peru's commitment to humanitarian disarmament. She indicated that the South American country has been fulfilling the destruction of its cluster munitions and demining works.
Moreover, the minister reiterated Peru's condemnation of the continuous launch of ballistic missiles by North Korea, plus of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Within this framework, she lamented Russia's recent announcement of suspending its participation in the nuclear arms control treaty.
Foreign Affairs Minister Gervasi also recognized the support of said organization in the migratory issue and reaffirmed the importance attached by Peru to the issue, having received more than one million Venezuelans and adding about three million Peruvians abroad.
