The draft legislative resolution, addressed to Senate President Miguel Angel Torres, bears the signatures of President Fujimori and Prime Minister Luis Galarreta.
The initiative states that the Head of State will participate in the main activities during High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The presidential agenda is scheduled for September 21–24, 2026.
It includes her address to the General Debate, as well as participation in high-level meetings and events, including those organized by the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) and the Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA), among others.
The agenda includes bilateral meetings with heads of state and government and high-ranking international officials as well.
During her absence from the national territory, First Vice President Luis Galarreta will be in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, in accordance with the Political Constitution and the Organic Law of the Executive Branch.
The initiative also states that President Keiko Fujimori's request was approved by the Council of Ministers.
