Peruvian coffee exports reached more than 50 countries during the January–November 2025 period. The main destinations were the United States, Germany, Belgium, and Canada, said Ysabel Segura, Institutional Relations and Agreements Manager at the Peruvian Exporters Association (ADEX).
The ADEX official stressed that coffee is one of Peru's most emblematic products.
Thanks to its aroma and flavor, it has won over the world's most demanding international markets, she highlighted.
However, Segura noted that domestic consumption barely stands at around 1.6 kilograms per person per year, a low figure compared with Colombia (2.5 kg) and Brazil (5.5 kg).
"This scenario poses a challenge, but it is a valuable opportunity as well. We have ample room to continue promoting our coffee, bring it closer to consumers, as well as to highlight its quality, diversity, and cultural value," she emphasized.
The ADEX official participated in the launch ceremony of "Pasaporte del Café Peruano" (Peruvian Coffee Passport) initiative on Monday.
Within this framework, she said it will play a fundamental role, as it will not only connect local consumers with specialty coffee shops, but drive innovation and contribute to positioning this aromatic bean nationwide.

Exports
Between January and November 2025, coffee exports reached US$1.581 billion, a figure that reflected 54% growth compared with the same period in 2024 (US$1.026 billion).
This performance was driven by higher international prices, as export volumes posted a 4% decline.
Adex's Agro-Exports Management reported that conventional coffee recorded the highest demand, with orders totaling US$1.326 billion, a 47% increase.
Meanwhile, organic coffee, with shipments totaling US$254.756 million, posted an exponential increase of 109%, underscoring its growing preference.
The main buyers were the United States (US$524.392 million), Germany (US$282.351 million), Belgium (US$159.261 million), and Canada (US$154.131 million), posting growth rates of 82%, 36.3%, 35.8%, and 86.7%, respectively.
Jointly, these four countries accounted for 71% of total exports.
