Results of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski’s State visit to China will be seen in one to six months, said Melvin Escudero, CEO of El Dorado Investments and President of CFA Society Peru.

Such results might be evidenced by Chinese firms’ investment decisions, growing influx of tourists, or Chinese financing of projects in the Inca nation.

“This is a bilateral, multidimensional process with impacts on different economic sectors. We need one to six months to determine if the trip was productive, but I guess it was,” he told Andina news agency.

Escudero noted the perfect timing of Kuczynski’s trip – given the current international focus on emerging markets as a destination for investment.

“A few weeks ago, global markets assessed the possibility to return their capitals to emerging markets, and China offers high investment potential,” he stated.
