Peru, China reaffirm Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

The strategic partnership, which links Peru with China, was highlighted during the meeting held on Tuesday between the Asian Giant's Ambassador Liang Yu and the hosting nation's Prime Minister Anibal Torres.

The Chinese representative made a protocol visit to the Cabinet chief's office, during which they discussed issues of bilateral interest.

Via social media, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reported that the meeting served to stress the relationship existing between both countries in terms of friendship and cooperation.

Prime Minister Torres and Ambassador Liang Yu also highlighted the links between Peru and China, which turn both countries into comprehensive strategic partners.

According to indicators crafted by the Lima Chamber of Commerce, Peruvian exports to the Asian country will amount to US$1.213 billion this year.

Among the main Peruvian products exported to China are copper, gold, and liquefied natural gas, among others.
