14:12 | Lima, Mar. 27.

The governments of Peru and Honduras agreed to resume bilateral relations at ambassadorial level after granting the corresponding agréments during the recent CELAC Summit.

Within the framework of the 10th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), held on March 21, both nations reaffirmed their interest in elevating bilateral political dialogue and consolidating their diplomatic relationship.

As part of this process, Peru's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Honduras' Secretariat of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation exchanged the necessary agréments to resume relations at ambassadorial level, a key step in normalizing bilateral ties.

According to official information, these appointments will help deepen the bilateral agenda and address shared challenges in the region.

Among them, the fight against transnational organized crime stands out, along with the promotion of cooperation and development initiatives aimed at both populations' well-being.
