With the participation of high-ranking national and regional authorities, as well as representatives of guilds, chambers of commerce, entrepreneurs, exporting companies and those with export potential, the Pacific Alliance Exporting SME Forum was held in the Peruvian capital, Lima, within the framework of Exporters' Day.

This activity was organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru) and the Pacific Alliance Business Council, aiming to create a space to discuss topics related to foreign trade, such as sustainability management, digitalization, financial inclusion, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence for SMEs.

Minister Mathews highlighted the holding of this forum on such an important date as Exporters' Day, which was established to emphasize the development of foreign trade as a Peruvian State policy.

"In the foreign trade sector, we work together with exporters, developing strategic actions to encourage the development of international trade, as well as to strengthen the services we provide to support companies, especially SMEs," he emphasized.

Minister Mathews added that this sector is focused on implementing various promotion and capacity-building actions for exporters to increase competitiveness and respond in the most efficient, innovative, and proactive manner to the challenges of the international market.

Through the forum, it is expected to contribute to the increase in the export base of SMEs in Pacific Alliance member countries and favor the growth of non-mining energy exports.

During this event, success stories by exporting SMEs from the four member countries (Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Peru) in goods and services were presented.

They also shared how they made the most of the bloc's trade protocol, as well as of the various instruments and programs that governments developed for SMEs in the region.
