Peru’s President, Alan Garcia said Saturday that the National Stadium refurbishment works and its commencement of operations will mark a milestone in Peruvian sports history thanks to its excellent infrastructure and modern facilities.
Garcia underlined that works should continue in order to provide our athletes a suitable place to play sports and thus lead our nation back into its rightful place in soccer and Olympic sports.
Upon his inspection, the head of State highlighted some relevant characteristics of the work such as the external front, which will enjoy “a spectacular nightly illumination”.
