The initiative focuses on strengthening the productive capacities of mothers from grassroots organizations, including community kitchens and soup kitchens.
"Through Mi Emprendimiento Mujer, with a historic investment of S/17 million (about US$5.07 million), we are transforming members of soup kitchens and community kitchens," Minister Shica stated.
"More than 2,600 women are now operating industrial ovens, sewing machines, and other specialized equipment, enabling them to move from a subsistence economy to the consolidation of gastronomic and textile microenterprises," she pointed out.
The Mi Emprendimiento Mujer project aims to strengthen the commercial and entrepreneurial skills of its beneficiaries through the provision of productive assets and the promotion of marketing spaces.
This approach helps dynamize their businesses, improve household incomes, and advance their economic autonomy, thereby contributing to their communities' sustainable development.
