APEC Peru 2024 SOM Chair, Ambassador Carlos Vasquez, presented the results report of the Peruvian Presidency, which received unanimous support during APEC Informal Senior Officials' Meeting (ISOM) held in Seoul from December 9 to 11.

Canada's representative to APEC, Alan Bowman, underscored that the
APEC Peru 2024 Presidency leaves the forum with an important legacy characterized by the recovery of consensus, as well as the achievement of tangible progress on the issues of inclusiveness and sustainable development.
Likewise, Peru's Senior Official for APEC, Minister Renato Reyes Tagle, considered that the documents adopted during APEC Peru 2024 will begin a new era in the economic and technical cooperation agenda across the Asia-Pacific.

During
APEC Peru 2024,
the host economy reached consensus for the approval of technical documents related to economic formalization, the empowerment of people with disabilities, the use of clean hydrogen, a new look at the Asia-Pacific trade architecture, as well as principles to prevent and reduce food loss and waste, among others.
Peru hosted more than 280 forum meetings, including 11 ministerial-level gatherings.
The
Economic Leaders' Week —held in Lima from November 9 to 16— stood out. It brought together the vast majority of leaders from the world's 21 most dynamic economies.
The Republic of Korea will hold the forum's Presidency in 2025.
