The non-profit public-private association known as inPERU —promoter of investment and development of capital and financial markets at both local and international levels— announced the 17th Road Show that will be held in New York City —the world's main financial center— in the United States.

After five years of promoting investments in regions such as Cusco and Junin, it resumes the promotion of Peru in international markets.

From September 3 to 5, some of the main Peruvian businesspeople and authorities will meet with potential international investors so as to seize important business opportunities and publicize the main guidelines of fiscal-monetary policy that has been applied in the South American country.

"This is a key moment to travel abroad and reposition the great potential of our country's various economic sectors in one of the world's most important financial showcases, as well as to restore business confidence in our economy among those who have direct or indirect participation in Peru, whether through foreign direct investment or as holders of stocks or debt," said Fernando Romero and Juan Carlos Mandujano, inPERU chairman and executive-director, respectively.

According to Peru's Economy-Finance Minister Jose Arista, this Road Show has become a platform crucial for promoting our economic strengths.

Similarly, the government official underscored that Peru has sound macroeconomic fundamentals, legal certainty, and a favorable demographic bonus to attract new investments.

Likewise, he indicated that projects worth over US$5.070 billion have been awarded during the first quarter of 2024. This figure is 117% higher than in 2023.

For the second half of this year, the awarding of 17 projects worth over US$3 billion is expected.

Precisely, the delegation set to travel to New York City will be headed by Minister Arista. It will also see the participation of other authorities from the public and private sectors, among whom Central Reserve Bank (BCR) Governor Julio Velarde stands out. He will accompany different CEOs and executives from the business world.

During the three-day event, New York City will see a series of activities, including conferences, roundtables, and networking sessions.

Experts in economics, finance, and international trade will share their outlooks on the global economic environment and the specific opportunities offered by Peru in key sectors, such as mining, infrastructure, agribusiness, technology, and tourism.
