A delegation of more than 80 representatives from Peru’s public and private sectors has arrived in New York to participate in the 19th inPERU Roadshow. The initiative aims to attract new investment, strengthen international market confidence in the Peruvian economy, and promote business opportunities within the country’s strategic sectors.
The mission includes the participation of Minister of Economy and Finance Elmer Cuba; Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) President Julio Velarde; and inPERU President Mercedes Aráoz and Executive Director Juan Carlos Mandujano.
Also part of the delegation are the Superintendent of Banking, Insurance, and Private Pension Funds (SBS), Sergio Espinosa; the Superintendent of the Securities Market (SMV), Juan Pichihua; ProInversión Executive Director Luis del Carpio; and Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) President Rafael Carranza, alongside representatives from prominent Peruvian companies and institutions.
Today and tomorrow, October 27, the agenda will feature conferences, roundtables, and meetings with international investors. These include events organized by J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and BTG Pactual, as well as sessions at the Council of the Americas and the international law firm DLA Piper.
These activities will provide an opportunity to present Peru’s economic outlook and investment prospects in sectors such as mining, infrastructure, energy, and hydrocarbons, among others.
Furthermore, the Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión) will showcase the country’s project portfolio, and discussions will cover the conditions for accessing international capital markets.
Key presentations will include those by Minister of Economy and Finance, Elmer Cuba, who will discuss the Peruvian macroeconomic and fiscal landscape, and Julio Velarde, President of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP), who will analyze the international interest rate environment and the outlook for monetary policy.
“Peru possesses economic strengths and investment opportunities that deserve greater international attention. However, attracting capital does not depend solely on our potential; it requires clear rules, legal certainty, and long-term confidence. We want to demonstrate that the country offers the right conditions for developing projects that generate growth, employment, and well-being for the Peruvian people,” stated Mercedes Aráoz, President of inPERU.
Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Mandujano, Executive Director of inPERU, highlighted the importance of bringing the country’s opportunities directly to those who make investment decisions.
“We have come to New York with a concrete agenda and a delegation that brings together key economic authorities and representatives from the business sector. Our goal is for investors to learn firsthand about the opportunities Peru offers and to build connections that help translate that interest into new investments,” he affirmed.
As part of the official program, the delegation attended a welcome reception yesterday, Sunday, hosted by Ambassador Carlos Pareja, Permanent Representative of Peru to the United Nations (UN) in New York.
This marks the nineteenth edition of the inPERU international roadshow. Since its inception in 2012, the association has organized events in major financial hubs across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, with the aim of positioning Peru as an investment destination and strengthening its ties with international markets.
